I doubt anyone even reads this, is subscribed to this, or even cares, but for the heck of it I'm updating. Why? Because I have about 45 minutes and nothing to do 'til I get to meet up with the friends at the lake for some memmorial day festivities.

What's new... I was promoted again, and they hazed the hell outta me, my chest is sore from the punches, but it was a good day none the less.

So pretty much things are the same. I've done more in this last year than I think I've done in my whole life. I'm basically living the life I want, but, it seems different than I pictured. It's more lonely than I thought it'd be, and it's harder at times, and more rewarding, at the same time. I feel I've fallen away, and found myself. Strange thing it is.

I feel disconnected, I guess. But life is still ok.

I've learned a lot out of this whole process, and today marks the 2 year mark. only 1 year, 11 months to go, but everyday I enjoy this duty more and thank God for being here. Sometimes you have to look carefully to find the reason you came here in the first place, and sometimes they jump out and hit you in the face. I guess I just learn things everyday and it makes it all worth it. Whether tactical, or just life lessons of leadership and faithfullness.

Well, I'm out. Hope all my old friends back at home are still good.

Ok, it's finally time for a much anticipated update.

I made it through all of my training successfully and in one peice. The first 5 jumps ruled and I made it to my unit in Alaska. My unit in Alaska is great and all my Sgts. are awesome leaders and have a lot of experience and are great at what they do. We are deploying, but there's things I just can't say on here. If you're curious about my deployment status or my teams that I'm attached to, just ask. Otherwise, everything is amazing.

Hmm, not much else to say, I'm home right now, and I'll be home until the 2nd of January, if you wanna hangout, just call me. I missed you guys and wanted to thank those of you who wrote me while I was away and needed it. I'm sure I'll need your support again soon.

Hey guys, just a little update on what's going on.

I did the 250 foot tower and did great, I got satisfactory grades on all of the parachutists skills and required tasks, totally scary at first, but afterwords I realized how awesome it was when I noticed that a ton of civilians were lined up all around the feild with blankets layed down watching us. That's when I realized that I'm getting paid for this stuff.

We did our final run, 5 miles, this morning. It was a "make or break" run, they call it "The Cardiac" heh, and if you don't pass, they kick you out of the school all together. I kid you not, Cardiac Hill went on for like a mile, and it was so steep, I could bearly catch my breath afterwords. However, I think I could have ran another mile after we finished, but I was truely happy we were done.

Monday I'm jumping out of planes n' stuff from 1,250 feet in the air, so please pray, it's dangerous/awesome stuff.

5 mile runs rule. I'm taking every single one of you on one.

I am an American soldier. I am a Soldier of the United States Army -- a protector of the greatest nation on earth. Because I am proud of the uniform I wear, I will always act in ways creditable to the military service and the nation it is sworn to guard.

I am proud of my own organization. I will do all I can to make it the finest unit of the Army. I will be loyal to those under whom I serve. I will do my full part to carry out orders and instructions given me or my unit.

As a soldier, I realize that I am a member of a time-honored profession - that I am doing my share to keep alive the principles of freedom for which my country stands. No matter what situation I am in, I will never do anything, for pleasure, profit, or personal safety, which will disgrace my uniform, my unit, or my country.

I will use every means I have, even beyond the line of duty, to restrain my Army comrades from actions disgraceful to themselves and the uniform.

I am proud of my country and its flag. I will try to make the people of this nation proud of the service I represent, for I am an American Soldier.
